Key traits
- An arcology-scale tower and administrative mass at the centre of Udhafa, sterile and fortified by geometry, cleaner than the city around it; 133 floors set into the bedrock with a broad plaza at its foot.
- One of the great urban control nodes of the ISEMH system, NOT the system itself: ISEMH is planet-scale (an orbital grid, subsea cores, and a node in every major Iru city), and Udhafa holds one major node because it was the imperial capital.
- Lower levels hold public authorization halls of polished floors, circular seals, glyph columns, counters, and armed guards; restricted levels hold command rooms, console banks, sealed lifts, and maintenance voids routed for bodies smaller than Maan.
- A subterranean capsule-train station beneath it, announced as "ISEMH Square."
- Iru-era curtain-wall architecture decaying under Maan stewardship: cracked glass in weathered bands, patched at irregular heights with off-tone repairs; old consoles carry Ilso script no one alive can read.
- Upper halls lined with the glass hibernation pods of the Sleepers, most now dark and empty; Annil People Annil Small, scaled, and easy to overlook, the Annil were the earliest of the engineered lines, made as household aides and keepers of the systems that kept the world running.-made tools still work where Maan patches have failed.
- Still functional enough in AC 50 to frighten people; by AC 364 / NO 64 whatever remains is ruin, hazard, or sleeping machinery.
High in the tower, glass hibernation pods line the old halls, most of them long dark; the present age calls their occupants the Sleepers and rarely asks who they were. The Annil who once tended those systems understood the duty exactly; the Maan who hold the tower now mostly do not.
