Arag Tree

Arag Tree

The Arag Tree rises in a tall, straight column armoured by spiralling whorls of bud-scars, its lance-shaped crown Place The Crown A newer foundry like a wide crown, a ring of tall pale spires flaring around a central stepped tower of lit decks, the broadest of the network. shifting from deep green to blue and violet fire under the full blessing of Namii Cosmology The Binary Suns Two stars share the sky of Elshore: Uhiel, the warmer and steadier light, and Namii, the smaller and more ominous companion.. It thrives in the warmer river deltas and misted lowlands of Northland, growing most lushly where floodplain soils and sunlight meet in balance. During the Blooming, the tree unfurls wide-lobed spore-bearers, luminous to the touch, that pass for flowers to the uninitiated.

Key traits

  • Leaf pigments shift with light intensity, blazing in blue and violet under open skies while holding a rich green in forest gloom.
  • Reproduction occurs through heavy, fragrant spore-clusters that mimic vivid blooms and are carried short distances by wind or foraging creatures.
  • After sporulation the tree forms spongy arag pods filled with healing sap; when pressed they yield Arag Milk, a thick white fluid that soothes fever and dulls pain but induces vivid, consuming reveries in excess.
  • The dried pulp of spent pods is ground into coarse meal and baked into Arag Bread, a dense, slightly bitter loaf prized by healers and wayfarers for its restorative warmth.
  • Arag Trees are most at home along floodplain margins and open misted glades where soil richness and sun conspire in equal measure.
